ArcSoft Demonstrates Updated Blu-ray Playback Technology at SINOCES 2008 in China

ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre presented at Blu-ray Disc Association Booth

— 7/7/2008 — Qingdao, China, —

ArcSoft announced that it will be demonstrating ArcSoft TotalMedia® Theatre at SINOCES, July 10 to July 13, 2008, at Qingdao International Convention Center, in cooperation with the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA). This high definition video player supports playback of commercial and homemade Blu-ray disc, DVDs, and a variety of high definition multimedia files.

In April, 2008, TotalMedia Theatre was the first software to receive BD Profile 2.0 (BD-Live) certification, providing users with online interactive capability such as gaming, downloading trailers, and social networking. Working to bring true BD-Live experiences to users continuously, ArcSoft has also completed full certification of extra logo discs (so-called Batch #1 discs) which were released on April 1st (including some commercial movies from Fox, Disney, etc.) from BDA.

"Having received the BD-Live logo, ArcSoft is making a constant effort to guarantee compatibility with the BD-Live specifications, said George Tang, ArcSofts Vice President and General Manager, Video & Home Entertainment Group. "We are pleased to work closely with every studio to ensure title compatibility even before it hits the market."

ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre is available as a standalone application or as part of ArcSoft TotalMedia® Extreme, a software suite that provides solutions for playback, capture, editing, and authoring of standard and high definition content. Stop by BDA booth (Hall 1 / No. D 21) during SINOCES to see a live demonstration. For more information visit:
