Currently, some of the most popular high-end smartphones already feature optical image stabilization (OIS) hardware modules, which prevent blurry pictures caused by user hand-shake during the photo taking process. However, one problem which OIS is unable to solve is partial photo blurriness caused by taking pictures of moving objects (children, pets, etc.) or under poor lighting conditions.

ArcSoft provides image stabilization technology that can resolve all of the cases above. Solutions can be used on devices either with or without OIS, and substantially improve image quality.

ArcSoft has also developed video stabilization technology that can resolve shaky videos. Aside from the use of traditional video analysis algorithms, our solutions also integrate with the phone’s built-in gyroscope and g-force sensors in order to improve video shake analysis efficiency and accuracy.
